The Must-Have Wedding Week Checklist

Prepare unpaid vendor balance payments due 10 days prior to wedding day and any cash gratuities in marked envelopes for the wedding day, and give to your wedding planner or designated family member or bridal party member to distribute on the Wedding Day. Tip: if payments are due on the Wedding Day itself or post wedding, fill out a credit card authorization form and have a family member or bridal party member hand to vendors upon arrival or completion of their contract so that they may take payment on the Wedding Day or one the due date after the Wedding Day.

Reconfirm and review wedding related duties with bridesmaids, groomsmen, family and helpers.

Email your vendors one final time with the final floor plan, final timeline, confirmation of payment and requesting any final questions.

For outdoor weddings or weddings with outdoor elements, begin to watch the weather forecast. Should the weather forecast show rain on your Wedding Day, on the Wednesday prior to your celebration email all of your vendors to discuss the contingency plan.

Have your dress and veil steamed or pressed 7-10 days prior to the wedding and pick up by 5 days prior to the wedding. Before putting it in the dress bag, practice bustling your train with your Maid of Honor or mother to be sure you know how to form the bustle on your Wedding Day.

Have the groom pick up his suit or tuxedo and try it on to assure the perfect fit.

Pack all accessories and hang all of your attire and the groom's attire in one closet in your home or in the bridal suite.

Send an email or text to all of your bridal party confirming that they have picked up their attire, have had it steamed/pressed and that everything fits accordingly.

Pack a wedding day emergency kit for the unexpected. Be sure to include a small hand steamer, just in case.

Pack an overnight bag for the wedding night and determine how it will get to the hotel.

Clean your engagement ring, just before the wedding.

Deliver or arrange delivery of welcome baskets or welcome gifts for out of town guests, if having any.

If you do not have a planner managing this, review your reception stationery and be sure that all escort cards are in alphabetical order and that place cards, table cards and personalized menus are arranged in order by table. Packed in plastic bags or stationery boxes to protect them and provide them to your caterer or venue.

If you wrote your own vows, make copies and provide a copy to the officiant.

Wrap all gifts for the bridal party and parents and include a heartfelt note for the Rehearsal Dinner/Welcome Reception.

Attend any final beauty appointments including services such as manicures, pedicures, eyelash extensions and hair extensions.

Create a "Packing List" that includes all of your decor, wedding stationery, accessories, etc that will need to be set up at your ceremony and venue. Drop off all items with a copy of the Packing List to your wedding planner, venue coordinator or catering manager.

Attend your Ceremony Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner.

Wake up on your Wedding Day and ENJOY! Trust your vendors and allow yourself to soak up every second of the excitement of the day.
